Most people are uncomfortable with empty spaces, more particularly empty spaces in the heart.
While it may feel like your inner fire is going out, it will burst into flames again. You will be rekindled. With every transition in our life, I think you begin to realize the subtle differences of the type of lessons you learn. Not everything that can be counted counts and not everything that counts can be counted.
Until then, relish in the books you've read and all the words you speak, even your cranky morning voice (in my case, happy squeals). Find the smiles that you hide and the sweetness in your laughter. You're beautiful for every tear you've cried and every song you sing out loud. When loneliness creeps in, think of all the places you've been and the one you call home. You are the things you believe in and the people you love. You are the photos in your bedroom and the future you dream of.
